Two Nominated to Air Academy

Charles M. McCain, son of Professor and Mrs. Dewey McCain, Starkville, and 
Robert D. Middleton, son of Col. and Mrs. M. D. Middleton, have been named
 as nominees to the Air Force Academy for the class of 1956 according to 
information received this week from Congressman Tom G. Abernethy.

McCain and Middleton, along with eight other nominees from Amory, Pheba, 
Tupelo, Aberdeen and Fulton, will compete in statewide examinations with 
candidates nominated by other members of the Mississippi Congressional 
Delegation for the four places allotted to the State of Mississippi at the Air Academy.

McCain is a freshman at Mississippi State College and Middleton is a 
senior at Starkville High School.
