Vernice Hill

STARKVILLE — Vernice Hill, 78, died Dec. 20, 2008, at Baptist 
Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle. Services are Wednesday at 
1 p.m. at Cedar Bluff First Baptist Church in Cedar Bluff with the 
Rev. Shalamar Simpson officiating. Burial will follow at the 
church cemetery. Visitation is today from 3-6 p.m. at Carter’s 
Mortuary Services Chapel in West Point.  

 Mrs. Hill was born Nov. 3, 1930. She was preceded in death by
 her husband, Will David Hill Sr.; father, Leon Quinn; brother, 
Robert Quinn; and sister, Ophelia Rainey.

She is survived by her mother, Willie B. Quinn; sons, Bishop Will 
David Hill Jr., and Tom C. and Willie H. Hill; daughters, Ozzie 
H. Williams and Dorothy R. Harris; sisters, Rosie M. Brown and 
Dorothy J. Townsend; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
