Mrs. Albert Moore Buried Here


Isabelle Cypert Glenn MooreThe remains of Mrs. Albert J. Moore arrived in the city on Thursday morning and were carried to the residence of Mrs. J. W. Pope, where funeral services for deceased were held Thursday afternoon at five o'clock conducted by Rev. J. D. Ray, pastor of the Baptist church.

Mrs. Moore died in Long Beach, California, on May 19th. [05/19/1925] She had been in bad health for sometime and had gone to Long Beach from her home in Cowallis, Oregon, in the hope that the change would prove beneficial.

Mrs. Moore was an adopted daughter of the late Mr. W. H. Glenn, an honored citizen of this county. As Miss Belle Glenn, she was married to Mr. Albert J. Moore, who was at the time secretary of A. & M. College and for several years was cashier of the Security State Bank. She has many relatives and friends here and her death was a shock to them.

She was a woman of noble christian character and was beloved by all who knew her. Her remains were interred in Odd Fellows Cemetery Thursday afternoon in the presence of a large concourse of friends.
