Blankenship Rites Monday

Funeral services were held at three p.m.  Monday for Roy Blankenship at Curtis 
Chapel Methodist Church.  He passed away at his Starkville residence at approximately 
eight thirty Sunday night.  The Rev. Gladney Clark officiated at the services.

Mr. Blankenship was 72 at the time of his death.  He was a retired road contractor and 
widower, since Mrs. Blankenship had preceded him in death by several years.

Interment was in Curtis Chapel Cemetery.

He is survived by a son, R. A. Blankenship of West Point; and two daughters, Mrs. 
A. M. Henry of Sturgis and Miss Minnie Belle Blankenship of Starkville.

Martin and Welch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
