RITES HELD FOR MRS B.F. BELL
Local Resident Succumbs To Heart Attack On Sunday

Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon for Mrs. Ella Bailey Bell, wife of B.F. Bell, prominent local attorney, who died Sunday morning as the result of a heart attack following an illness of several months.

The Rev. J.R. Countiss, pastor of the local Methodist church conducted the services. Burial was in Odd Fellows cemetery. Born and reared in Virginia, Mrs Bell had spent all of her life since marriage in Starkville. She was a member of the Methodist church.

Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, B.F. Bell,Jr., Paul Bell, and Elbert Bell; three daughters, Mrs. Ellen Presley Beal and Mrs. T.E. Segrist of Starkville and Mrs. R. M. Merritt of San Antonio, Texas; and a step mother, Mrs Addie Bailey, of Winona. Also four grandchildren, Lt. Tom Bell of Fort Bragg, N.C., Billy, Jerry and Jack E Ball of Starkville.

Active pallbearers were Earl Clardy, Vaughn Greene, O.R. Bailey, L.M. Prichard, Wilburn Sudduth, and Arthur Goodman. Honorary pallbearers included E.E. Cooley, R.C. Carpenter, D.J. Savage, M.R. Fulgham, A.W. Garner, Walter McIlwain, E.L. Tomlinson, Emmett Scroggins, Hall Kirby, G.L. Kirkland, Henry Butts, Eugene Lanier, Frank Page, and Lacey Mims.
