Starkville News Rites Held for Mrs. Christopher Beloved Oktibbeha Matron is Buried in Adaton Thursday Funeral services for Mrs. J. R. Christopher, 72, were held last Thursday afternoon from the Adaton Baptist Church with interment in Adaton cemetery. Mrs. Christopher was one of the best loved and respected matrons in her community. A member of the Baptist Church, she lived her entire life as a true Christian. She is mourned by a large number of friends in all parts of the county. She is survived by 12 children, W. P. Christopher, J. S. Christopher, Mrs. Willie Ruffin, all of Starkville, Wiley Christopher, Crawford Christopher, Elwyn Christopher, Conway, Arkansas; Mrs. A. W. Walker, Starkville; Mrs. W. G. Champion, Starkville; Robert Christopher, Starkville; Mrs. Lamar Harvey, Rome, Ga; Mrs. Russell O'Barr, Quincy, Fla; Arthur Christopher, Camp Beauregard, Ga; Mrs. Gaines Gibson, Birmingham, Ala; 39 grandchildren, and 35 great grandchildren.
