Starkville News Rites for Miss Roxie Clardy Held on Sunday Native of Oktibbeha Dies in Jackson Saturday The death of Miss Roxie Clardy which occurred in Jackson, Saturday, May 28th, was a source of profound sorrow to her family and many friends in this community. The funeral services were held at the home of her brother, Mr. W. M. Clardy on Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, conducted by Dr. J. D. Ray, pastor of the Starkville Baptist Church, of which denomination the deceased was a devout member. Miss Clardy was a woman of many fine traits of character. She was born and reared in the Adaton neighborhood, the daughter of the late James Clardy. She is survived by her mother, two brothers, Messrs. Will M. and Lon Clardy and two sisters.
