Prominent Sturgis Citizen Passes

Mr. George Clegg, a Confederate Veteran, died at his home
in Sturgis last Saturday and was buried at Mathiston, his former
home on Sunday.  For many years, Mr. Clegg was one of the
leading business men of Mathiston and had large interests there.
About six years ago he was married to Mrs. S. T. Cooper, of
Sturgis, and has made that place his home since.  He was about
86 years of age at the time of his death and had retired from
business activities.  He is survived by his wife, several children,
and grandchildren.
