Cook Services Set Wednesday [b. May 1, 1901 d. January 12, 1970 - World War II Veteran] Funeral Services for W. L. "Bill" Cook will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Cook, 67, died Monday afternoon at Felix Long Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. For many years, he was in business with his brother-in-law, Robert Anderson, of Chattanooga. A Veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post No. 13 here. The Rev. Jim Vance and Dr. D. C. Applegate will officiate at the services, and burial will be in the Artesia Cemetery. Mr. Cook is survived by two sisters, Mrs. L. Richardson and Mrs. Robert A. Anderson, both of Clear Water, Fla; four brothers, Walter Cook of Columbus, Ohio, Earl Cook, James Cook and Jack Cook, all of Starkville; five nieces, four nephews, three great-nephews and two great nieces.
