Services for John B. Critz were held at 2 Sunday afternoon at the Adaton Methodist Church.  
The Rev. J. L. McElroy, pastor of the Longview Methodist Church, and the Rev. N. J. Golding,
 superintendent of the Columbus Methodist District, officated.  Burial was in the Adaton 
Methodist Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Critz, who was 44, died Saturday morning at his Adaton home.  He had been ill three 
years.  He was born in Adaton community.  He was a farmer and contractor for bulldozing 
work.

He leaves his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Ed O'Callahan of Tupelo, and Mrs. Fred Blankenship 
of Artesia; a son Guy Critz of Adaton and a daughter, Mrs. Mavis Stennis of Starkville.
