1-29-1943 Starkville News Dr. C. H. Ferran dies in Florida Stroke is Fatal to Father of Mrs. Frist; Presbyterian Pastor Friends of Mrs. J. C. Frist will regret to learn of the death of her father, Dr. C. H. Ferran, who died at his home in Orlando, Florida Wednesday following a slight stroke. Funeral services are incomplete pending arrival of members of his family. In an article regarding his retirement from the pulpit of the Presbyterian Church, an Orlando newspaper printed the following: "Dr. Ferran has been a true disciple of the Lowly Nazarene, whose life he has striven to follow. Kind hearted and understanding, he has attempted to obtain the other person's viewpoint and treat any differences in opinion with charity. His gracious manners, sympathetic attitude and eagerness to aid any adversity have endeared him to his concregation and won admiration and respect from all others. "Dr. Ferran has been a pastor of a Presbyterian Church in Florida longer than any other active minister of his denomination.
