10-15-1963 Ford Rites Set Today Grover E. Ford of the Self Creek Community died Monday afternoon at Veterans Hospital in Jackson following a long illness. He was 70. Services for Mr. Ford will be held this afternoon at two o'clock from the Self Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Alvin Sandifer and Rev. Ernest Noah will officiate. Burial will be in Double Springs Cemetery with Welch Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He had been a resident of Oktibbeha Country for most of his life. He was a member of Self Creek Baptist Church and a Mason. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Melodie Fulgham Ford: a son, Joseph E. Ford of Cleveland, Tenn and two daughters: Mrs. Doris Harpole of Canal Winchester, Ohio and Mrs. Joyce McMinn of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mr. Ford is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Pat Grisham of Starkville and two brothers, Shellie Ford of Starkville and William Ford of West Point. He has 12 grandchildren.
