Jimmie L. Gavin

Jimmie Lee Gavin, 50, died Oct. 11, 2006, at North 
Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Services will 
be Monday at 11 a.m. at North Montgomery Church 
of Christ with Lorenzo Jones officiating. Burial will 
follow at Memorial Garden in Starkville. Visitation is
 today from 2 to 7 p.m. at West Memorial Chapel in 
Starkville.Mr. Gavin was born Jan. 9, 1956, in Itta Bena 
to Tommy Gavin and the late Ester Bryant. He was a 
foreman for the Starkville Water Department.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, 
Louise Gavin of Starkville; son, Marlon Gavin of 
Starkville; daughter, Melanie Gavin of Starkville; 
sisters, Gloria Dillard of Jackson and Dorothy, 
Mary, Christine and Tanicka Bryant Wardean 
Thompson, Robbin Jackson and Angela Fletcher, 
all of Chicago; brothers, Reginald McGowan of 
Jackson and James and LeCoy Bryant and Thomas 
Lewis, all of Chicago; and two grandchildren.

His family and friend will serve as pallbearers.
