J. R. Henry Services at Double Springs Funeral services were held last week for J. R. Henry, who died at his home September 21. Reverend D M Betts of the Maben Baptist Church was in charge of servies and burial was in the Double Springs Cemetery. Mr. Henry, who had been an invalid for several years was a leading Oktibbeha County farmer and active civic and church worker. He was married to Miss Ella Halfacre of Macon 52 years ago and lived in the county since. In addition to his wife he leaves, three daughters, Mrs. Vernon Douglas of Maben, Mrs. Wick Hull of Starkville, and Mrs. M S.Clardy of Maben and two sons, J. R Henry, Jr of Cedar Bluff, and Morris Henry of Starkville. He is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jack Pope and Miss Queenie Henry, a brother Charlie Henry and 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Justice Robert Henry, Sr. died 21 Sept. 1947.
