Johnston, Bertie Mae -

 88 of Starkville, MS a homemaker, died in the 
Vickers Personal Care Home in Starkville, MS on August 
18, 2006.  

Mrs. Johnston was Organist and Pianist of the Longview 
Methodist Church since 1960. She was also a member of the 
Civinette Club, the United Methodist Women and a officer since 1960. 

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday August 20 from 6 - 8 p.m. at 
Welch Funeral Home, Starkville, MS. 

Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, August 21, 2006
 @ 2p.m., at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be 
officiated by Rev. Barry Robinson and Rev. Ronnie Hatfield. 

Burial will be at Memorial Gardnes Park. Mrs. Johnston is survived 
by three sons: William Riley Jonston of Mobile, Al, Richard Allen 
Johnston and Robert Arthur Johnston of Starkville; daughter, 
Mary Jean Whitehead of Starkville; 7 grandchildren and 14 
greatgrandchildren. Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her 
husband, Rupert B. Johnston. 

Memorial Donations may made to the Longview Methodist Church or the 
Rupert Jonston Scholarship Fund in the MSU Development Foundation.
