Starkville News March 25 1932 Funeral Rites for Mrs. Lampkin Held on Monday After an illness of over four months, Mrs. M. E. Lampkin died at her home in this city at the age of 78 Saturday night at eleven o'clock. She was the widow of the late R.A. Lampkin, who died about seventeen years ago and was one of Starkville's most prominent citizens and business men. Mrs. Lampkin is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Allee Bonner, and four grandchildren, Mr. Robert H. Lampkin and Mrs. A. B. Butts, of Starkville, Mr. Henry Bonner, a well known druggist of Memphis, and Mrs. Perron Chatham, of Schlater, Miss. She was a devout member of the Methodist church and spent her entire life in Starkville, where she was honored and beloved for her many fine traits of character. Besides her immediate family, a large connection of relatives mourn her loss. The funeral took place at her late residence on Main Street, conducted by Dr. Henry Felgar Books, pastor of the Starkville Methodist Church and Rev. Robert Woodson of the Presbyterian Church, at ten o'clock Monday morning followed by interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery. The following acted as pallbearers: D.E. Slaughter, Paul Castles, Will E.
