4-25-1970 Services Set for McClain Today

Selma Smith McClain, age 71, died Friday morning at Tom Bailey Memorial 
Clinic in Maben following a lengthy illness.  Services will be held Saturday 
afternoon at 2:30 at the Welch Funeral Home new chapel across from the 
First Methodist Church.

The Rev. Randle Poss, pastor of the Maben Baptist Church, will officiate.

Mr. McClain leaves his wife, Mrs. Ellen Hester McClain of Mathiston; three 
brothers, S. H. McClain and S. L. McClain of Mathiston, and C. A. McClain 
of Tulpelo; and three sisters, Mrs. D. O. Darling of Florence, Ala., Mrs. Leslie 
V. Arnold of Jackson, Tenn., and Mrs. Joyce Busby of Eupora.

Burial will be in the Blythe Creek Cemetery, south of Mathiston, with Welch 
Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Full Masonic rights will be conducted by the Masonic Lodges of Mathiston 
and Maben.
