Funeral services for Doss Watt (DW) McIlwain Jr. 
will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Welch Funeral Home 
Chapel. Burial will be at Oktibbeha Memorial Park. 
The Rev. Steve Davis will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. 
Saturday at Welch Funeral Home.

Mr. McIlwain died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006 at
 his residence. He was 90. He was an Oktibbeha 
County native, the owner of McIlwain’s Store, 
a dairy farmer and merchant and a member of 
First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Trudie 
Matthews, Frankie Winston and Mary 
Liebenow, all of Starkville, 17 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren
 and four great- great-grandchildren.
Mr. McIlwain was preceded in death by his 
wife, Annie Allene Robinson McIlwain; and 
four sons, Alvan McIlwain, Joe Watt McIlwain, Doss Watt 
(Dee Buddy) McIlwain III and Sam McIlwain.
