James Emmett McIlwain, died June 18 1972

COLUMBUS - James Emmett McIlwain, 86, retired
store owner and former state representative, died
yesterday at Lakeland Nursing Home in Jackson.
Services will be at 3 pm. today at Artesia United
Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the church
cemetery [Pythian] with Memorial Funeral Home
in charge.  He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Kathleen
Clements of Durant; two sons, Emmett McIlwain,
Jr., of Artesia, and J. S. McIlwain of Jacosn, 
and four brothers, Mac McIlwain of Vernon, Ala,
Walter McIlwain of Starkville, and O. G. McIlwain
and J. F. McIlwain, both of Artesia.
