Mims Rites Conducted 12-26-1970 Services were held Sunday for Lacey D. Mims, Sr., of 600 S. Montgomery St. at the Welch Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Prentiss Gordon officiating. Mr. Mims died Saturday at Felix Long Memorial Hospital. He was 75. A retired railroad express clerk and farmer, Mr. Mims was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Starkville. Survivors include two sons, L.D. Mims, Jr., of El Dorado, Ark., and James M. Mims of Starkville; one step-son, Thomas F. Bell of Tupelo; two half- brothers, John Page of Starkville and Frank Page, of Yulla Valley, Calif.; one grandson and one great grandchild. The family asks any memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church. Welch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements with burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Transcribed by C. L.
