Rites Held Here for Wyatt Mims 4-18-1942 Clarendon, Arkansas, Farm Agent is Buried Here on Wednesday Burial services were held here Wednesday afternoon for Wyatt Mims, 49, Monroe County, Arkansas farm agent, who died Monday night in the Veterans Hospital in Memphis. Dr. J. D. Ray, pastor of the local Baptist Church, conducted the services assisted by Dr. J. R. Countiess, Methodist pastor. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Funeral services were held in Clarendon, Arkansas, where Mr. Mims made his home, Tuesday night with the Rev. L. R. Joyner officiating. Mr. Mims, who had been farm agent at Clarendon for 15 years, had been ill a year of heart trouble. A native of Starkville, he was graduated from Mississippi State College and was farm agent for Prentiss County, Mississippi, before coming to Clarendon. He was a veteran of World War I, servicing as lieutenant in the tank corps. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edith Clock Mims, his mother, Mrs. Archie Page of Starkville; two brothers, W. C. Mims, and L.
