December 22, 1937 Rites Held for County Farmer Charles E. Morgan Buried in Morgantown on Thursday Funeral services were held Thursday morning, December 23rd, for Charles E. Morgan, 73, who died at his home in Morgantown Wednesday. The Rev. R. D. Pearson, pastor of the Macon Baptist Church, conducted the services from the family residence. Burial was in Morgantown cemetery. Mr. Morgan leaves his wife, four sons, Evna Morgan, Decatur Morgan, Joseph Morgan, and Donald Morgan of Morgantown; four daughters, Mrs. Clint Landrum, Mrs. Carl Bennett, Miss Ruby Morgan of Morgantown and Mrs. Parker Jackson of Craig Springs; three brothers, S. P. Morgan, J. T. Morgan, and D. O. Morgan of Morgantown; and two sisters, Mrs. W. S. Henry of Jackson and Mrs. W. O. Watt of Macon. A native of Oktibbeha county, Mr. Morgan spent his life farming in his home community. He was a member of the Morgan Chapel church of which he served as church clerk for many years.
