J. S. Oliver Rites Sunday
d. 02/21/1968 AGE 83

Funeral services for James Samuel Oliver, 83, will
be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the New Hope
Baptist Church, with burial in the New Hope
Cemetery.

Welch Funeral Home is in charge.

The Rev. C. S. Mullins will officiate.

Mr. Oliver died last Wednesday at Felix Long 
Memorial Hospital.  He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ester Oliver of
Route 2, Starkville; one son, James D. Oliver,
also of Route 2, Starkville; six brothers, Oscar
Oliver of Eupora, Burrell Oliver and John Oliver,
both of North Carolina; George Oliver and Hester
Oliver, both of Columbus; and Odis Oliver of 
West Point; two sisters, Mrs. Harum Ballard of
Memphis and Mrs. Bessie Barton of Lexington,
Miss.
