Phelps Rites Set Today

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Beatrice Lewis Phelps
will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Double Springs
Baptist Church.

Mrs. Phelps, who died at Felix Long Memorial Hospital
Monday morning after a lengthy illness, was 85.

Burial will be in the church cemetery, Welch Funeral Home
in charge.

Survivors are a son, J. C. Phelps of Starkville; two daughters,
Mrs. May Lee Oswalt of Houston, Miss., and Mrs. Martha Lou
Wright of Memphis; two granddaughters, Mrs. Imogene McKinney
of Atlanta, and Mrs. Gerolene Toney of Columbus; two grandsons,
Roland Oswalt of Houston, Miss., and Arlen Wright of Memphis;
six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
