7-27-1956 Mrs. Ida Pierce Mrs. Ida Pierce of Starkville died at her home Saturday morning about an hour after suffering a coronary thrombosis. She was 76. Rev. D. C. Applegate, pastor of the First Baptist Church, conducted services at her home at 4 Sunday afternoon. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of the burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Mrs. Pierce was born Ida Robertson in Camden, Ark. In 1900 she came to Starkville and has lived here ever since. In l1902 she married Will F. Pierce of Starkville. She leaves a sister, Mrs. Julius Linebarrier of Camden, Ark; three brothers, Claude Robertson of Camden, Ark, Hugh Robertson of Siloam Springs, Ark and Ray Robertson of Grenada, La; a son, Simeon Pierce of Starkville; a daughter, Miss Margaret Pierce of Starkville and two grandchildren.
