Services For Pope Held

Funeral services for John F. Pope were held Tuesday from the Self Creek
Baptist Church with the Rev. J C. Hawthorne and Rev. C S Mullins
officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Pope died Monday at Felix Long Memorial Hospital.  He was a 77 year
old retired carpenter.

He leaves his widow, Mrs. Ina Hendrick Pope of Starkville, one son,
Frederick H. Pope of Arlington, Texas, one daughter, Mrs. Eugene Vowell
of Plano, Texas, two brothers, Walter B. Pope of West Point and Mr. M A
Pope of Belzoni, and six grandchildren.

Welch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
John died 18 August 1906
