Rites Held for Sherman  (28 May 1896 - Mar 1970 )

Funeral services for Mrs. Lorena "Spot" Walker
Sherman of Maben were held at 2 p.m. Monday
from the Mabel Baptist Church where she was a
member.

Mrs. Sherman, who was 73, died early Sunday at
Tom Bailey Memorial Clinic.

Survivors include two brothers, E. B. Walker and
T. P. Walker, both of Jackson, and three sisters, 
Mrs. H. C. Cowning of Jackson and Mrs. Sallie
Ray Moore of Vicksburg, and Mrs. W. A. Templeton
of Starkville.

Burial was in Maben Memorial Gardens, Welch
Funeral Home in charge.  The Rev. Randle Poss
officiated.  Pallbearers were James Hankins, Clell
Turner, Harold White, Thomas Bland, Eldon Hester,
and Rickie Miles.
