5-28-1936] SHROPSHIRE RITES HELD THURSDAY _____ Prominent Oktibbeha Farm- er Dies At Home In Sturgis _____ Last rites for Mr. F. E. Shrop- shire, 83, prominent Sturgis plant- er, were held Thursday morning from the Sturgis Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Phelps, pastor. Interment was in the Sturgis cemetery. Mr. Shropshire was one of the best liked men in Oktibbeha County and was considered one of the most efficient farmers. He was born in Bibb County, Ala., moving to Sturgis when a boy. He was always very active in both civic and religious affairs. He is survived by his wife, six daughters, Mrs. Othal McIlwain, Starkville, Mrs. Lovelle Carson, Wynn, Ark., Mrs. Susie Griffin, Denver, Colo., Mrs. C. H. West, Sturgis, Mrs. Blanche Reynolds, Tutwiler; three sons, Mr. Niven and Mr. Morris Shropshire of Birmingham, and Mr. Tom Shrop- shire of Sturgis.
