Thompson Rites Today
1904-1970

Funeral services for Virgil Manning Thompson, who
died Thursday morning at Felix Long Memorial Hospital,
will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from the New Hope Baptist
Church.

Mr. Thompson, who was 66, was a retired merchant from
Longview.

Survivors are his wife Mrs. Eugenia Shropshire Thompson,
of Longview, two sons, Tommy Thompson of Longview,
and Benny Thompson of Selma, Tenn.; a daughter, Mrs. 
Don Motto of Longview, two brothers, Houston Thompson
of Longview and Nash Thompson of Hickory Valley, Tenn.;
and four grandchildren.

The Rev. Jeff Gilder and the Rev. W. L. Stroud will officiate
at the services.  Burial will be in the New Home Cemetery.
Welch Funeral Home is in charge.
