5-20-1970		Services for White Today


Funeral services for Mrs. Daisy Pearl Ray White, who died Tuesday in Lowndes 
County General Hospital, will be held at 2PM Wednesday from the chapel at 
Welch Funeral Home.

Mrs. White, who was 72, was a native of Oktibbeha County, and was the widow of 
Joe G. White.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Winston County.

Survivors of Mrs. White include three sons, Joe G. White, Jr. of Starkville, 
Lawrence White , Sr. of Metairie, La, and Murrel White of West Wego, La;  
four daughters, Mrs. Eula Mae Ayers, and Mrs. Clausie Barnhill both of Starkville, 
Mrs. Bernice Chandler of Ackerman and Mrs. Odessa Rose of Louisville; 
one sister, Mrs. Lillie Jones of Starkville; a brother, Muldrow Ray of Sturgis; 
19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
